Welcome to RSPCA Essex South west Branch. Caring for homeless cats and kittens, dogs and puppies.

Home

The RSPCA Essex South West Branch is, like all RSPCA branches, an independent charitable trust. As such, it has to be financially self-supporting – in other words it has to raise the funds it needs to support its animal welfare activities.

The Branch covers an area ranging from Dagenham & Barking in the South to Epping & Nazeing in the North ( see map of Branch area ), Waltham Abbey to the West and Abridge to the East.

The Branch is run and staffed entirely by volunteers. The main activity of the Branch is in rescuing and finding new homes for companion animals that for a variety of reasons are either homeless or cannot stay with their present owner. We work in partnership with Hillside Kennels ( for dogs, telephone 01992 892881 ) and Chestnut Cat Sanctuary ( for cats, telephone 01992 560510 ), who board our rescue animals and carry out the rehoming process on our behalf.
